mohpaI’ve told you before how Gaming is a pretty cheap hobby! Between all the excellent sales and bundles, it costs almost nothing, and if you really wanted to, you could grab only freebies and would literally cost you nothing! Let’s be honest, free is always good! Which is why I thought I would let you all know about this fantastic freebie offer! It’s only for a limited time, so be sure and grab it while it’s available.

The game is the classic WWII FPS “Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault” from EA games. and it can be yours for absolutely nothing! No tricks and no gimmicks…As long as you claim it before they remove it as a freebie, it’s yours! Now the game DOES require Origin, which is basically like EAs version of steam.

Instructions on Claiming: First go here! Once there,  click the orange ‘Download Now Free’ button located on the right hand side of the screen. At this point you will need to log into your Origin account (or create an Origin account if you don’t already have one). Then just follow the on-screen instructions and the game is yours to keep(Even after the limited time freebie giveaway ends).

This giveaway could be available for days, weeks or even a few months. You never can tell with EA, so grab it as quickly as possible. It was available free at the time of this writing however.

In my opinion Medal of Honor and Battlefield are the two best wartime FPS franchises on the market, with Call of Duty a distant third, so it REALLY is worth grabbing! Anyway, happy gaming!

There’s a game for the xbox 360 called battlefield 1943. It’s an online war shooter, and is available in the Xbox marketplace in their arcade section. Now, to begin with I want to say this game is a bit expensive compard to other arcade titles. However the graphics are great, the fun factor is superb and it’s exciting! Great way to kill a few mins or a few hours! Taking all that into consideration, it would be totally worth the cost.

Don’t go spending your MS Points yet though, because there’s a downside, and it’s a big one! It’s the lag! It’s insane! In fact, the lag makes the game nearly unplayable. When the game first came out, the lag was fine! So, naturally I bought it. The lag was fine for a few weeks too, I enjoyed the game, was happy with my purchase. Then the lag hit! It started about 4 months ago, and it’s a common problem, look it up online.

The lag is so bad in fact, that it makes the game almost useless! It’s practically unplayable and the purchase of the game was a waste of money. Honestly, I feel Microsoft should remove it from the marketplace until whoever is hosting the servers gets their act together and gets the lag taken care of.

Bottom line, stay FAR away from this game. Its a great game, ruined by poor servers.

The question “Has America ever won a war on its own?” was posed to me and a group of my friends today, and I must say the answers that were given were quite amusing to say the least. My favorite answer I think was “Yea, we won the civil war.”

Of course we won the civil war! We were fighting ourselves! Even if we lost the civil war? America still would have “Won”.

That answer did amuse me. After that, there was a huge discussion about different wars, and blah blah blah. Then of course the “There are no winners in a war, only losers.” and “Victories aren’t always won on the battlefield” kind of answers. Those I think are simple cop-outs. Fact of the matter is this! America has not won any war on its own. No sugar-coating! We haven’t!

That being said, I would also like to point to the fact that in comparison to most countries, America isn’t really all that old! Since America has been a country, wars have changed quite a bit. Countries don’t fight wars on their own these days. Great Britain recognized the independence of the United States in 1783, Since then, how many countries have won wars STRICTLY on their own? No financial aid, No supplies(Medical-food…nothing!)? I’m thinking you will be hard pressed to find many. Fact of the matter is, a war is not fought on their own.

People go on about “Oh America fought the Vietnam on their own, and lost!” Hate to burst your bubble, but it wasn’t just America either. France, the United States, Australia, South Korea, and New Zealand were all involved in the war(Obviously North and south Vietnam as well). Also it’s not like north Vietnam won single-handed either. They were being supported by China and Russia. They also had just chased France out(Who America was supplying), so to use “Vietnam war” as an example of what happens when america tries to fight a war alone is ridiculous.

Anyway! I’m ranting now. My apologies.
